During my season of writing, I was especially inspired by one of my favorite composers, Hildegard von Bingen. Hildegard was an 11th-12th century German mystic, poet, botanist, and composer among many other giftings-- and is known for her secret language and invented alphabet, the "Lingua Ignota." She created names for almost any plant you can imagine, including the name for Ressurection Lily, "Kunx."The raw opening melodic line and harmony were inspired by Gregorian chant and a sort of cathedral aesthetic, and lead into the simple and profound friendship between V and I.
